It’s nice to find out just how high you can climb, isn’t it?
This was a big hike. I’d wanted to do it for more than a year. And then I did it with the help of a good friend who is also fanatical about mountains.
This was a spectacular day. I’d been meaning to hike Mt. Lougheed ever since hitting the summit of Wind Tower in 2015. Chris and I got to the top but it was a lot of work. The 1400 m elevation gain took us 7 hours to reach the summit at 3107m. This had us above 10,000 feet. I’ve only been this high a couple of times in my life while not in flight.
It was truly a spectacular and challenging day of this life.
Getting through this hike and was a reminder to me that,
“what you put your mind to, you really can accomplish”.
Take some moments to see the stunning scenes in this video. It was shot using just an iPhone SE.
